Efficient and effective meetings should be every manager’s or executive’s goal.

Most people, however, do not know how to get meetings to meet that criteria. So much time, talent and energy is wasted just sitting and blah, blah, blah. The worst part is that it’s allowed to go on. There is nothing more unproductive in an enterprise than poorly conducted meetings.

Look around the room in a meeting. Estimate how much everyone in that room is making per hour. Say, you have 8 people in a meeting, say at an average of $45 per hour, for one hour, that’s a meeting worth at least $360! Has the meeting been worth that to the organization?
